The Burke Company Moves Into the Neighborhood

Move to Lakewood Brings Design Build Remodel Firm Closer to its Clientele

March 20, 2006 – DALLAS, TX – Since 1959, The Burke Company has remodeled Dallas area homes, with a focus on the Lakewood neighborhood for many of those years. Now they can truly claim that they are “in the neighborhood.”

Thanks to a recent move to 722 Paulus Ave., The Burke Company is officially on the tax rolls of the Dallas neighborhood where most of their work can be seen. The move came after several years in an office complex on Mockingbird Lane.

“Our old office did little to exemplify the nature and quality of our work,” says Jason Asmar, president of The Burke Company. “We have long had a niche providing quality design, build, and remodeling work on historic homes in Lakewood and the surrounding neighborhoods, and now we are proud to be housed in one of those historic homes ourselves.”

The Classic Tudor style cottage - a Craftsman Bungalow home - has many of the original fittings, including 3-casing trim, hardwood floors, beveled glass and gas log fireplace. The electrical system has been upgraded, but other than that, many features have remained from when it was built in the 1920’s.

Originally constructed as a residence, the home has since been rezoned for business and was most recently a real estate office before The Burke Company moved in. It is located behind the historic Lakewood Theater, which it predates by about 15 years.

Through the years, no matter their office location, The Burke Company has focused on quality work with an emphasis on communication with their clients. In fact, they have won numerous national awards for work on Dallas area homes and businesses from groups as prestigious as the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and various industry publications.
