Much-honored Dallas Design/Build/Remodel Firm Wins DHB Vesta Award for Lakewood Project

Dallas, TX – December 6, 2004 - The Burke Company, one of Dallas' most prestigious design, build and remodeling firms, has been recognized by the Dallas Home Builders Association for their recent Lakewood Boulevard kitchen renovation.

The Burke Company won the Vesta Award for Best Kitchen Renovation over $100,000. Jason Asmar, President of The Burke Company said of the award, “The Lakewood Boulevard Project was a beautiful redesign and we are honored that the Dallas HBA recognized us with this prestigious award.”

The Vesta Award honors custom builders and remodeling contractors who make a mark on the industry with the quality of their work. It is named after Vesta, the Roman goddess of hearth and home and symbolizes the history and depth of the building industry’s impact on western civilization.

The awards ceremony, presented by the HBA and hosted by its Custom Builders/Remodelers Council, was held Nov. 12 at the Westin Galleria.

In its 45 years in business in Dallas, The Burke Company has accumulated an impressive collection of awards and honors, including many in recent years. The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) honored the company last year with the National Contractor of the Year (CotY) award for Residential Addition and in 2002 they won NARI’s Contractor of the Year in the Entire House Remodel category. They have also been recognized by Remodeling Magazine as one of the Big 50 in the industry.
